Our stay in Lesotho supports the Malealea community. Local guides, village accommodation and some of the fresh produce used in the lodge are sourced from the local villages in a responsible and sustain¬able method. Thus providing income, and better living standards for the Malealea villages and the local community.
PRE & POST TOUR ACCOMMODATION:
Due to the early departure time of this safari we recommend that you stay in Johannesburg the night before safari. Please indicate if you require assistance with airport transfers and hotel reservations in the vacation planner when prompted.
Hello Sunway. I was on the trip "Scenic Route" with Charel Hattingh and Thulani Ndlovu.
I just wanted to take a moment to share my comments with you about the trip because I filled out my comment sheet in a rush before I left for the airport and didn't quite get a chance to express myself to you.
My best friend, Rozanna Tesler, and I went on the trip together and we can not stop talking about it and thinking about it. We had the most amazing time ever! It was an incredible experience for us. Besides for seeing the land and doing all of the fun things that we did, and the fact that we shared this journey with people from all over the world - what truly made our trip so spectacular was Charel and Thulani. They were excellent tour guides. Not only was their knowledge of the flowers, birds, animals, and all of South Africa so rich ... but their friendship was something Rozanna and I will always cherish. It was really amazing to learn all about South Africa from them. The fact that they are both from two different cultures and backgrounds and could share their experiences of life in S. Africa with us from their different perspectives was really neat, too. Charel and Thulani worked really well together, respected one another, and did everything that they could to make our trip as wonderful as it was. They truly cared about providing us with the best experience we could possibly have. We will forever be grateful to have had such awesome tour guides as Charel and Thulani. We hope to remain friends with them forever, and to be able to come back to South Africa one day and go on another trip with them! :)
Overall though - the trip was the most incredible experience ever and I can not wait to come back to Africa!
Thank you, Lauren Gold
Hello, Just returned from a great holiday. It was a faultless trip thanks to your organisation and our guides Shandle and Vusie. Shandle has to be the best tour leader and bush cook in S.A. They both made a great team and their combined knowledge of the country, animals, customs and languages (both African and European) was priceless.
Both were very hard workers - even after strenuous hikes they still found the energy to start cooking a delicious meal (with a little help from us of course) and spend time with us laughing and talking through the evening.
We've become great friends and we hope to keep in touch.
The highlight was definitely Lesotho, but everything else came a pretty close second - the scenery, the animals, the people,...
The variety in accommodation was just right - the holiday definitely value for money.
Thank you all for helping to make this a memorable holiday for us!
Jane and Pierre-Alain Bolomey
